SALIM EL OUASSAIDI STUNS KALOYAN KOLEV IN BRAVE CF 107 HEADLINER

Event Date: Aug 01, 2026

Location: Bulgaria, Burgas

BRAVE CF 107
BRAVE Combat Federation™ (BRAVE CF), the world’s fastest-growing and most global mixed martial arts organization, made a successful return to Bulgaria on Saturday, August 1, with BRAVE CF 107 at the iconic Burgas Arena, presented in partnership with Bulgarian Fight Agency (BFA). The card delivered a memorable night of action, featuring a host of thrilling bouts and spectacular finishes

In the main event of the evening, France's Salim "Bizon" El Ouassaidi silenced the partisan crowd by rallying to defeat hometown hero Kaloyan Kolev in their 97.2-kilogram catchweight clash.

Kolev enjoyed the better start, repeatedly landing hard boxing combinations while complementing them with powerful takedowns that gave him the edge in the opening round.

The tide turned in the second as El Ouassaidi found his rhythm in close-range exchanges, connecting with the cleaner shots. He maintained that momentum in the final frame, taking Kolev to the canvas before unleashing a barrage of ground strikes that prompted the referee to stop the contest, completing a remarkable come-from-behind victory.

In the co-main event of BRAVE CF 107, Georgian sensation Bidzina Gavashelishvili bolstered his claim for a shot at the BRAVE CF Flyweight World Championship with a hard-earned unanimous decision against South Africa's Luthando "Shorty" Biko. The matchup saw both men enjoy moments of success, landing clean strikes while matching each other in the wrestling exchanges in the first two rounds. Gavashelishvili pulled ahead in the closing stanza, dictating the pace from the center of the cage and repeatedly bringing Biko to the canvas, doing enough to win on the scorecards.

Pavel "The Werewolf" Vladev wasted little time making his presence felt, needing less than a minute to dispatch Greece's Muhammed "The Thracian Gladiator" Kir Ahmet in their lightweight showdown. The Bulgarian spitfire found the mark with a solid right straight that sent Ahmet crashing to the canvas before sealing the victory with a flurry of follow-up strikes to force the referee to wave off the contest.

Former IMMAF World Champion Deyan Galinov lit up Burgas Arena with a stunning knockout of Brazil's Alexander "Pantera Negra" Mikael in their super welterweight duel. After picking apart Mikael with precise boxing combinations, the Bulgarian hard-hitter found his moment in the second round, detonating a picture-perfect left hook that landed flush on the chin for the highlight-reel win.

Indian rising star Owais Yaqoob continued his ascent with another emphatic victory, stopping Bulgaria's Delyan Georgiev in the opening round of their 68-kilogram catchweight bout. Yaqoob pressed the action from the opening bell, marching forward with confidence while showcasing the improvements in his striking. He found the mark with a crushing left hook that dropped Georgiev before swarming him with a relentless barrage of ground-and-pound to compel the referee to step in and call a halt to the action.

Bulgaria's Anton Yanchev closed the preliminary card in emphatic fashion, giving the audience at Burgas Arena plenty to cheer with a dominant victory over Georgian lightweight Bachuki Tchikaidze. Known for his grappling prowess, Yanchev instead showcased his striking early, controlling the distance with crisp jabs and punishing body kicks that kept his opponent on the defensive. He eventually turned to his trademark ground game in the final round, scoring a single-leg takedown before raining down a volley of hammerfists and elbows for the finish.Bozhidar Ivanov of Bulgaria passed the sternest test of his career with an impressive stoppage victory over Latvia’s Ri?ards “Lionheart” Ozols in their 81-kilogram catchweight contest. The two engaged in a relentless back-and-forth battle from the opening bell, trading heavy strikes in a physically demanding affair. Ivanov eventually broke through late in the second round, digging a crushing body shot that visibly hurt Ozols before uncorking a series of unanswered punches that forced the referee to wave off the contest with just one second left in the frame.

Earlier in the evening, Bahraini standout Mohamed Alsameea set the tone for BRAVE CF 107 with a commanding performance against Switzerland’s Miran Ramani in a 59-kilogram catchweight bout. Alsameea imposed his grappling from start to finish, repeatedly securing dominant positions and neutralizing Ramani with relentless top control and submission threats. His sustained pressure earned him a clean sweep on the scorecards, as all three judges awarded him a unanimous decision victory.
