At BRAVE CF 100, the Irish standout known as Gerard ‘The Animal’ Burns steps into the biggest fight of his career - a world title showdown against Muhammad ‘The Punisher’ Mokaev for the vacant BRAVE CF Flyweight Championship. Burns is bringing the trademark Irish fire straight to Mokaev’s adopted home of Bahrain.

“It’s incredible. It’s hard to even take it in,” Burns said during media day, soaking in the magnitude of the title opportunity in front of him. “It’s going to be one of the biggest wins in Irish MMA history.”

Burns, having a 7-1 professional record, with his only loss coming by decision, has worked and proven his way into the title picture with nothing but hard fights. On Friday, November 7, live from the Khalifa Sports City in Isa Town, he plans to make the world remember his name - and he plans to do it at the expense of one of BRAVE CF’s biggest stars.

“He doesn’t know who I am. I know exactly who he is,” Burns fired back when asked about Mokaev, highlighting the silent advantage he could possess over his adversary. “This is basically his hometown,” he added with a grin, with the silent undertone being that he is ready to cause a major hometown upset.

This is the kind of statement that’ll echo through the BRAVE CF locker room - and one that Mokaev, known for his unshakeable confidence, won’t ignore. For years, Mokaev has been touted as the future of flyweight MMA, an unbeaten amateur phenom who has carried that aura into the professional circuit. But Burns isn’t buying into the hype.

Burns is coming to test the hype attached to Mokaev first-hand. Beyond that, he looks to pressure it, bend it, and maybe even break it.

This isn’t just another title fight. It is Ireland crashing the gates of BRAVE CF royalty. Burns knows that he is walking into enemy territory, but that’s exactly how he wants it.

On November 7, the Irish underdog looks to turn BRAVE CF’s biggest milestone event into his personal coronation. Burns is ready to prove Ireland’s standing as one of the greatest fighting nations in the world, and he looks to do so against one of the top mixed martial arts prodigies in recent history.
