BRAVE CF: 10 YEARS OF REDEFINING GLOBAL MMA

Ten years ago, BRAVE Combat Federation was launched in Bahrain with a vision of taking mixed martial arts beyond traditional borders.
A decade later, that ambition has grown into a record-setting international presence spanning 39 countries and five continents.
Founded in 2016 under the vision of His Highness Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa, BRAVE CF has staged 109 events across 39 host countries, the most for an MMA organization.
More than 900 fighters have competed under its banner, representing 95 nations and bringing talent from virtually every corner of the world to the international stage.
“BRAVE CF was created with the belief that talent should not be limited by geography,” BRAVE CF President Mohammed Shahid said.
“Ten years later, we have built a stage where fighters from different cultures and regions can compete, develop and earn recognition internationally.”
The scale of that expansion has been matched by a deliberate approach to new markets.
Rather than concentrating its schedule in established MMA territories, BRAVE CF has worked with local partners and federations to develop events in emerging regions, giving regional athletes pathways to international competition.
Europe has been central to that strategy. BRAVE CF has staged events in 20 European countries, the most for any MMA organization. Its continental reach spans Western and Northern Europe, Central and Eastern Europe, and the Baltic region.
“Europe became an important part of our strategy because of the depth of talent and passion for MMA across the continent,” Shahid stated. “We wanted to create opportunities for those athletes while bringing international competition to their home markets.”
The promotion has also built a substantial audience beyond its live events.
BRAVE CF's global distribution has generated a broadcast household reach of 1.7 billion, while its social media channels have surpassed 2 billion lifetime views.
Those figures tell only part of the story. The deeper achievement is the international platform created for athletes from 95 nations, giving fighters from established MMA markets and emerging regions a common stage.
“Our 10th anniversary is a milestone, but it is also the foundation for our next chapter,” Shahid shared. “We will continue entering new territories, developing talent and finding new ways to connect MMA with audiences around the world.”
From its Bahrain roots to a presence across 39 countries, BRAVE CF's first 10 years have laid the groundwork for an even broader second decade.
