A new chapter in European mixed martial arts is about to unfold as BRAVE Combat Federation prepares to make its long-awaited debut in Croatia on September 5.
The organization’s latest venture will see it take over the legendary Pula Arena, blending the intensity of modern combat with a venue steeped in centuries of history.
BRAVE CF President Mohammed Shahid emphasized the magnitude of the moment, framing the event as both a milestone and a shared cultural experience.
“Bringing BRAVE CF to Pula Arena is a tremendous honor,” he said. “This ancient amphitheater has stood the test of time, and hosting a modern combat sports event inside its walls is a privilege we share with the people of Croatia.”
Rather than simply adding another destination to its growing map, BRAVE CF is stepping into uncharted territory with purpose.
Croatia becomes the newest addition to the promotion’s European footprint, further strengthening its presence across the continent and signaling continued momentum in its global rise.
Set against the Adriatic backdrop, the Pula Arena offers more than visual spectacle. Built during the height of the Roman Empire, the structure once hosted brutal gladiatorial contests and large-scale public gatherings.
Its limestone walls and commanding architecture have endured through time, preserving its identity as one of the most complete amphitheaters from antiquity.
Now, that same setting will frame a different kind of combat, where elite mixed martial artists compete under modern rules but with echoes of the past surrounding them.
The upcoming event reflects more than just geographical expansion. It highlights BRAVE CF’s strategy of merging sport with culture, selecting venues that carry meaning beyond competition.
From historic landmarks to emerging fight markets, the Bahrain-based promotion continues to redefine how and where MMA can be experienced.
“What awaits this September will elevate our vision even further,” Shahid added. “As we continue to expand into new territories in the region, we aim to deliver unforgettable moments for the global MMA community.”
In less than a decade, BRAVE CF has surged to the forefront of the sport’s global landscape.
The organization now holds the largest share of the European MMA market while extending its reach across 38 nations worldwide.
Its upcoming Croatia showcase represents the 18th European country to host a BRAVE CF extravaganza and the 39th nation overall, underscoring a remarkable reach that few in the industry can rival.
