BRAVE CF SETS THE PACE WITH MMA’S LARGEST EUROPEAN FOOTPRINT

BRAVE Combat Federation is entering its second decade with a distinction that underscores the magnitude of its international ambitions: the organization has established the largest European footprint among major MMA promotions.
As BRAVE CF celebrates its 10th anniversary on September 23, the Bahrain-born organization can look back on a remarkable decade of growth, having staged events in 20 European countries as part of its mission to globalize mixed martial arts.
That breadth gives BRAVE CF a presence unmatched by its principal counterparts across the continent.
The Ultimate Fighting Championship has reported events in 13 European countries, while Okatagon currently identifies four event markets. Regional outfit FNC has staged events across six European nations, with further expansion into North Macedonia scheduled later in 2026.
For BRAVE CF, however, the significance goes well beyond adding destinations to a map.
Its continental strategy has centered on entering diverse MMA territories while creating avenues for homegrown fighters to step onto an international stage.
The journey has taken BRAVE CF through Austria, Belarus, Bulgaria, Croatia, England, France, Georgia, Germany, Italy, Lithuania, the Netherlands, Northern Ireland, Poland, Romania, Russia, Serbia, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden and Switzerland.
Croatia became the latest addition when BRAVE CF 108 descended upon the historic Pula Arena last September 5, simultaneously bringing the organization to its 39th host country worldwide.
“Europe has always been a crucial part of BRAVE CF’s vision because of the depth of talent, culture and passion that exists across the continent,” BRAVE CF President Mohammed Shahid said.
The organization’s strength has also been rooted in localization. Instead of relying exclusively on marquee names, BRAVE CF has cultivated relationships with regional organizations and federations, creating pathways for European prospects to emerge from grassroots competition and reach the international stage.
“European expansion is not just about bringing events to new countries,” Shahid stated. “It is about creating opportunities for local athletes, strengthening regional ecosystems and connecting them to the global MMA community.”
That philosophy has enabled BRAVE CF to establish a formidable presence across Western, Central and Eastern Europe without diluting its international character.
Fighters from developing scenes can share the same platform with established competitors, giving local audiences a direct connection to the wider MMA landscape.
“Every new European destination adds another piece to the global MMA ecosystem we are building,” Shahid added. “Our goal is to make MMA truly international, and Europe has been fundamental to that mission.”
Founded in Bahrain in 2016, BRAVE CF has now reached 39 countries worldwide. Its European campaign has become a defining pillar of that worldwide strategy, giving the organization a geographic presence that currently stands apart among major MMA promotions.
A decade on, BRAVE CF’s European map is more than a collection of destinations. It is evidence of an expansive philosophy that seeks to make MMA genuinely borderless.
