Hamza Kooheji Challenges Borislav Nikolic For Bantamweight World Title In BRAVE 100 Main Event

BRAVE Combat Federation will celebrate its centennial event with a showdown befitting the milestone, as reigning BRAVE CF Bantamweight World Champion Borislav Nikolic puts his coveted belt on the line against Bahrain’s very own Hamza Kooheji in the main event of BRAVE 100.
The blockbuster card takes place at Khalifa Sports City in Isa Town, Bahrain, on Friday, November 7.
For Nikolic, the matchup marks the first defense of the crown he captured in spectacular fashion earlier this year.
The 32-year-old Serbian shocked the world at BRAVE CF 96 this past June when he submitted Nicholas Hwende with a first-round ninja choke to claim the gold.
Now riding a three-fight winning streak and boasting a professional record of 13-2 with an astounding 93-percent finishing rate, Nikolic believes he is ready for the spotlight.
“This is a very special moment for me,” he said. “To defend my World Title at such a historic milestone for BRAVE CF is an honor. I know I’m going into enemy territory to face a national hero, but that only motivates me more. I’m ready to put on a fight worthy of BRAVE 100.”
Across the cage, Kooheji is poised for the biggest opportunity of his remarkable professional career.
A true pioneer of the organization, Kooheji has been a fixture of the BRAVE CF roster since its inaugural event in 2016, competing 11 times and racking up nine victories along the way.
Known as “The Face of Bahraini MMA,” the No. 2-ranked contender is eager to finally achieve World Championship glory.
“I’ve been here since day one of BRAVE CF, and to now headline BRAVE 100 with a shot at the World Title is truly a dream come true,” Kooheji expressed.
The hometown hero previously vied for the division’s top prize in 2022 but fell short in his quest. This time, with a roaring Bahraini crowd behind him, Kooheji sees destiny at hand.
“I’ve been waiting for this moment, and to do it in Bahrain, in front of my people, makes it even more special. This is my time,” Kooheji declared.
As BRAVE CF marks 100 premium live events, the promotion could not have asked for a more symbolic headliner — a World Champion at the peak of his resurgence traveling into hostile territory to defend his throne against a national icon chasing a storybook triumph.
