BRAVE Combat Federation™ (BRAVE CF), the world’s fastest-growing and most global mixed martial arts organization, has ensured that its return to Bulgaria will retain one of its marquee attractions after confirming a new opponent for hometown hero Kaloyan Kolev at BRAVE CF 107 on Saturday, August 1.
With Nemanja Kova? sidelined by injury, French finisher Salim "Bizon" El Ouassaidi has accepted the challenge, setting the stage for a compelling light heavyweight showdown in the main event at the Burgas Arena, presented in partnership with Bulgarian Fight Agency (BFA).
Kaloyan Kolev, BRAVE CF Light Heavyweight Athlete, stated:
"I was disappointed to hear about my original opponent's injury, but I am grateful that the fight is still happening. I appreciate Salim for accepting this challenge on short notice because not everyone is willing to do that. Now we both have the chance to deliver an unforgettable fight, and I cannot wait to compete in front of my people."
Salim El Ouassaidi, BRAVE CF Light Heavyweight Athlete, stated:
"This is exactly the type of challenge I embrace. Short notice changes nothing about my mindset. Opportunities like this do not come around often, and I am ready to take the risk. I will step into the cage prepared for whatever unfolds and give everything I have."
Kolev owns an impressive 13-1-1 professional record, highlighted by nine knockout victories and two submission finishes. He first competed under the promotion’s banner at BRAVE CF 97 in July 2025, battling Mohamed "L'Ambiance" Said Maalem to a hard-fought majority draw.
Competing in front of his compatriots once again, the Bulgarian aims to earn the signature victory that could lead him back to Said Maalem, who captured the BRAVE CF Light Heavyweight World Championship by dethroning Erko "The Bounty Hunter" Jun at BRAVE CF 106 this past June.
Across the cage stands El Ouassaidi, a seasoned mixed martial artist with an 11-4 résumé that includes seven wins by knockout and two by submission. The Frenchman previously competed twice on the BRAVE CF stage and now returns determined to score his first victory.
With explosive striking, proven finishing instincts, and plenty at stake, this encounter has all the ingredients to steal the show. As the lights shine on Burgas Arena, only one competitor will leave the headliner with his hand raised and valuable momentum in the pursuit of BRAVE CF gold.
