BRAVE Combat Federation is heading to Zhengzhou, China, for BRAVE CF 98 on Friday, September 19, and Africa’s own Nicholas ‘The Saint’ Hwende will feature in a high-stakes co-main event showdown.
The former BRAVE CF Bantamweight World Champion, who hails from Zimbabwe and is based in South Africa, is set to lock horns with China’s Bin ‘The Stalker’ Xie in a special featherweight contest. The bout will be contested over three rounds and carries added prestige, as the winner will walk away with the YFU International Championship, a one-off title presented by BRAVE CF’s local co-promoter, YFU.
While not an official world title fight, the unique prize adds intrigue to an already compelling clash of styles. Hwende, being one of Africa’s finest mixed martial artists, will move up to featherweight for this special assignment, marking his return to competition since his successful run at bantamweight.
