Owais Yaqoob may have punched his ticket to a World Title shot with a devastating first-round technical knockout on the supporting card of BRAVE CF 107 last Saturday, August 1.
Competing before a packed crowd at Burgas Arena in Bulgaria, the Indian sensation stretched his winning streak to six by overwhelming hometown favorite Delyan Georgiev from the opening bell.
He then capped off the statement win with a direct challenge to reigning BRAVE CF Lightweight World Champion Abdisalam "Omok" Uulu Kubanychbek.
From the outset, the 28-year-old dictated the action, mixing relentless forward pressure with crisp combinations that never allowed Georgiev to settle into their 68-kilogram catchweight encounter.
The tide continued to swing in his favor until the referee waved off the bout at the 4:00 mark of the first round, authoring another impressive outing for one of the organization's fastest-rising stars.

If the finish turned heads, the post-fight callout made his intentions unmistakable.
Moments after having his hand raised, Yaqoob set his sights on Kubanychbek, making it clear he believes his recent body of work has earned him an opportunity to compete for the BRAVE CF Lightweight World Title.
The challenge adds another intriguing storyline to one of the promotion's deepest divisions.
Kubanychbek has firmly established himself as the man to beat at 155 pounds, but Yaqoob has steadily built a résumé worthy of World Championship consideration.
Six consecutive victories have highlighted his continued evolution, with each appearance showcasing greater composure, sharper striking, and a growing ability to dictate the terms of a fight.
His latest showing was another example, combining patience with timely aggression before delivering the decisive finish.
A World Title bout would represent the biggest opportunity of his career while marking another significant moment for Indian mixed martial arts on the global stage.
Whether BRAVE CF grants that opportunity next remains to be seen. After another convincing display in Burgas, however, his name has become increasingly difficult to ignore in the World Title picture.
