Owner of KO of the Year at BRAVE CF 74, Levy Carriel trades expletive-filled barbs with original opponent
Sep 08, 2023
BRAVE CF Super Welterweight Levy Carriel went viral last Thursday as he delivered the top contender for 2023 KO Of the Year to kick off BRAVE CF 74, which took place in Nantes, France.
As soon as the referee pushed him away from an unconscious Mathieu Rakotondrazanany, ‘’The Missile’’ went into promoter mode and immediately challenged Eliezer Kubanza.
Carriel and Eliezer were scheduled to fight at BRAVE CF 74, but Kubanza was forced to drop out on short notice due to visa issues, with Rakotondrazanany courageously stepping in to face Levy in what then became a Catchweight bout of 81kg.
‘’Kubanza, no problem! I come for the belt! I’m ready to fight him now!’’, said Carriel right after the fight, still adrenalized from putting on an unforgettable show for BRAVE CF’s first show in France, as the promotion set a world record for being hosted in the most countries.
After the fight, Eliezer himself went online to claim he was not impressed with Carriel’s performance and promised to show the world who was ‘’the king of the jungle’’.
‘’Levy, I am not impressed at all, and when I’m locked in there with you, you are going to understand who the king of the jungle is. I’ll expose and stop you’’ said Kubanza, who is also widely known for his athleticism and is coming off a huge KO of his own back at BRAVE CF 72, in his promotional debut for the most global MMA organization in the world.
Finally, Levy Carriel, still riding high from producing one of the most magical moments of 2023, used expletives to bite back at Kubanza who then responded with an emoji of a chicken. Now, both men have set the tone for a mega-fight in the Super Welterweight division in the final quarter of the year.
