Stephen Loman exchanges strikes with Lasha Abramishvili during their BRAVE CF 108 co-main event at Pula Arena

After three years away from competition, Stephen “The Sniper” Loman finally stepped back inside the cage.

The former BRAVE CF Bantamweight World Champion returned to action against Georgia’s Lasha Abramishvili in the co-main event of BRAVE CF 108, airing live in the Philippines on Sunday morning, September 6, at the historic Pula Arena in Croatia, delivering three rounds of high-level action.

Loman wasted little time shaking off the cobwebs, opening with pendulum kicks and sharp left straights. The Filipino hard-hitter continued to chop away at Abramishvili’s lead leg as he looked to settle into his rhythm.

However, Abramishvili had answers. The Georgian gradually found his range and landed the biggest moment of the opening round, catching Loman with a left hook that briefly sent the 31-year-old Ifugao native to the canvas.

Fortunately, the Lions Nation MMA representative recovered quickly and finished the round on his feet.

Loman returned in the second with a different look, mixing his striking with his underrated grappling. He scored a takedown and briefly controlled Abramishvili before the Georgian worked his way back up.

The match settled into a tactical battle on the feet, with Abramishvili landing a heavy head kick while Loman kept the pressure on with his activity and combinations.

Needing to make something happen in the final five minutes, Loman pressed for takedowns, but Abramishvili’s defense held firm. The Georgian then switched to his natural southpaw stance, creating fresh angles for his offense and connecting with a flying knee and his left straight.

Still, Loman refused to fade. He continued pressing forward and searching for an opening until the final horn, while Abramishvili dished out a series of Stockton slaps in the closing seconds.

When the scorecards were read, all three judges awarded the bout to Abramishvili with the identical scores of 30-27.

The victory improved the Georgian’s record to 13-2-1 and stretched his winning streak to nine. On the other hand, Loman left the Pula Arena with a 17-4 standing
