Stephen Loman faces off with Lasha Abramishvili ahead of their BRAVE CF 108 co-main event bout in Croatia

Filipino fight fans will have free access to one of BRAVE Combat Federation’s most anticipated events of the year as BRAVE CF 108 arrives live in the Philippines on Sunday morning.

The Bahrain-based mixed martial arts promotion will stream the event for free on the official BRAVE CF YouTube channel, with local viewers able to watch the action beginning at 2 a.m. on Sunday, September 6.

Taking place at the historic Pula Arena in Croatia, the card features the long-awaited competitive return of Stephen “The Sniper” Loman, who faces Lasha Abramishvili in the co-main event.

The bout brings Loman back to the organization where he established himself as one of its most accomplished fighters.

Since making his BRAVE CF debut at the maiden event in September 2016, the Lions Nation MMA representative has remained perfect under the promotion’s banner, collecting six victories in as many appearances.

“The Sniper” enters his comeback with a 17-3 professional record, including six knockout victories and two submissions.

His BRAVE CF résumé includes a historic championship reign. At BRAVE CF 9: THE KINGDOM OF CHAMPIONS in November 2017, Loman became the inaugural BRAVE CF Bantamweight World Champion after stopping Gurdarshan “Saint Lion” Mangat by first-round technical knockout.

The Filipino star subsequently ruled the division for 1,179 days, successfully defending his crown four times.

Years removed from his last competitive appearance, Loman now faces a Georgian contender who has steadily made his presence felt in the division.

Abramishvili brings a 12-2-1 professional record and an unbeaten mark across four BRAVE CF outings. He has finished three of those opponents before the final bell, underscoring the danger he presents to Loman’s comeback.

The Georgian’s most recent victory came at BRAVE CF 106 this past June, where he secured a unanimous decision against Brice “Lion Kid” Picaud.

The vacant BRAVE CF Bantamweight World Championship further raises the importance of the encounter. Although the belt will not be contested at BRAVE CF 108, a strong showing could move either fighter closer to a future championship opportunity.

There is also a weight-related wrinkle heading into the three-round contest.

Loman registered 62 kilograms on the scales, narrowly exceeding the 61.7-kilogram bantamweight limit. Abramishvili weighed in at 61.7 kilograms on his second attempt.

The matchup will therefore proceed at catchweight, with Loman surrendering 15 percent of his purse.
