‘Destiny Brought Me Back Here’ – Muhammad Mokaev Eager To Complete Full Circle Journey At BRAVE 100

Muhammad “The Punisher” Mokaev is ready to write the final chapter of a story that began when he first set foot inside the BRAVE Combat Federation cage five years ago.
As he prepares to challenge Gerard “The Animal” Burns for the inaugural BRAVE CF Flyweight World Championship in the co-main event of BRAVE 100 on Friday, November 7, at Khalifa Sports City in Isa Town, Bahrain, the undefeated phenom stands on the brink of completing his full circle journey.
When Mokaev joined BRAVE CF in 2020, he was touted as the face of the promotion’s emerging flyweight division.
Fresh off a stellar amateur career, he lived up to expectations, amassing four wins in five outings — two via submission — and proving that he was far more than just a rising star.
His performances made it clear that BRAVE CF had unearthed a generational talent.
“BRAVE CF gave me the platform to show the world who I am,” Mokaev reflected. “They opened the doors when I was just a kid with big dreams, and for that, I will always be thankful.”
That platform propelled him into the global spotlight. As his reputation soared, Mokaev’s path led him to North America, where he continued to shine and extend his unbeaten streak.
Each victory reinforced what many already believed — that the hype surrounding “The Punisher” was no illusion.
Yet, when unforeseen circumstances forced him to part ways with that organization, fate steered him back to where it all began. BRAVE CF welcomed him home without hesitation, reigniting a partnership that had once captivated the MMA world.
“BRAVE CF is home and will always be home,” he said. “This is where I started my professional journey, and this is where I want to make history.”
For years, BRAVE CF’s flyweight bracket has been brimming with talent but has lacked a definitive ruler. Now, as Mokaev stands one win away from the World Title, the stakes have never been higher.
A victory over Burns would not only make him a World Champion — it would complete the full circle that began with his BRAVE CF debut in 2020.
“This is a full circle moment for me,” Mokaev stated with conviction. “From my first fight in BRAVE CF to this World Title opportunity, everything has led to this. I feel like destiny brought me back here.”
Still, Mokaev knows that destiny alone won’t win him the intricately crafted hardware. Across the cage stands Burns, a fellow up-and-comer known for his grit and power.
But for the 25-year-old, the battle is more than a test of skill; it’s a mission fueled by gratitude and purpose.
“I know it’s not going to be easy,” he admitted. “Gerard Burns is a talented opponent, but I’m doing this for myself, for everyone who believed in me, and for those who never left my side when times were hard.”
